How to move stuff from disc c to disc d? What is the best stuff to move?

I am running out of space how to manage freeing up space on c and how to do it. Also not sure which are the safest things to move.

Disk Cleanup is one thing you can do.

If you have plenty of RAM you could shrink (or even disable) your pagefile. "Plenty of RAM" = 2 GB or more (with XP).

It is safe to move to another partition / drive everything you placed in your "My Documents" and "My Pictures" folders.

You could uninstall some programs you no longer use.

If your "disc c" and "disc d" are two partitions located on the same physical hard drive then you can use a partition editor such as GParted to reduce the size of "disc d" and increase the size of "disc c" (this, however, you should only do when you have no other options and if you know what you’re doing).

    The link to GParted: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
