Is there a way to transfer my c drive to my external in ubuntu?
I really managed to screw up my windows somehow when messing with partitions. I have some very valuable information in my c drive that I still need, however I cannot boot up windows. Ubuntu boots up just fine of the internal hard drive. Basically how can I copy the files from my c drive in windows to my external so after I reformat I can sift through the files and get what I need out?
You probably need to go to the media or mount folder in Ubuntu. When you see drive c: left click it opens a menu. Have it mount drive c: then you should be able to move the files. The Linux I use I have to open the drive and copy the files, then go to my Linux and do a paste to where I want the files. Every Linux tends to do things differently. Hopefully this will help.
