Photoscape, Photofiltre, or GNU Image Manipulation Program?

Which one is good, really easy to use, can make both animated and unanimated graphics, and takes up little space in your hard drive?
And what do you guys reccomend for a beginner like me, who has NO clue on how to make graphics?
And is there anything I can find in GIMP,Photoscape or Photofiltre that I won’t find on the other?
Thanks..Best answer gets 10 points..

GIMP is the more powerful image manipulation application of the three it can be compared to the commercial software Photoshop in its expressive power and range of image manipulation tool they provide you with (plus lots of tutorials exist)
Photoscape for standard colour correction is a nice tool. Not really for making graphics.
Photofiltre looks like a middle ground between MS Paint and GIMP.

As a beginner use GIMP its has more functions than you currently probably need and will take you time to get to master it all, but it does everything you want so you might as well learn it now rather than later.
