I want to learn to do basic programming and I don’t know where to start. I know there are a ton of different languages out there and I want to know where I should start. What is the fist language I should learn?

I have 2 semesters experience programming in Java(2 semesters in college). Basic programming stuff.
For example, I want to be able to program an address book.

I would like to join a short course for about 3 months. I know the basic programming languages. Please tell me a school in south delhi.

I’m sick of creating a lot of projects while learning basic programming. But when I add more than 1 file in the same projects and write the code I end up having errors because some things are apparently repeated between files.

I have been using computers since second grade, and I taught myself basic HTML as a teenager and created many web pages etc. I am interested in creating apps for the iPhone, and I am wondering what resources I should seek for knowledge about basic programming or software development. Thank you!

I have had some basic programming knowledge in languages like basic, html and some limited C. Is this enough to make basic apps for the iphone?

I want to buy a book that can introduce me to basic computer programming and maybe give me information on each different type. As a beginner, is there any recommended type of programming I study? I don’t know anything about the different types or their applications, so I would prefer a book that explains the types and their differences as well.

I have an arduino decimille (a circut board) and it is programmed in C. I sort of learned very basic programming with it but now i need it to input data (the results of an on/off switch) into a database.

What free database programs can i use that will accept input from a program written in C?
