I have some very valuable information in my c drive that I still need, however I cannot boot up windows. Ubuntu boots up just fine of the internal hard drive. Basically how can I copy the files from my c drive in windows to my external so after I reformat I can sift through the files and get what I need out?

Since I started using Linux, my computer doesn’t crash, freeze, or even slow down. It boots up 5 times faster, and shuts down faster. I would think Windows would be more stable since you pay for it and its made by Microsoft, which is one of the richest company’s in the world?

Now, even though all the files from Windows ME are intact, the computer automatically boots to XP because ME is no longer on the list of available OS’s. Is there any way to boot to my Windows ME?
