I am looking to take a class in C programming and have no former knowledge of programming. Is this a bad idea?

i want to create my own games on windows but i have Absolutely no knowledge of programming at all. i have looked on the internet about beginning programming and many places say buy books on C/C++ programming but i dont even know what that is.

i need to start right at the basics and hopefully one day make my first game.

there is no classes about programming near where i live so i need to be able to teach myself.

I am interested in moving into the C programming languages. At first, I tried to learn C# but for a beginner with almost no programming experience, I failed quickly. I need something that is easy to learn and can make things like Cell Phone apps and Flash games.

what should i study before i start learning SAP???
Im Sanil, a Btech graduate in Electronics and Communication and i have sound knowledge in Embedded , C and C++ programming.
I wanted to know what are the basics, including the programming skills necessary for learning SAP.

I’m taking classes in school that use different programming languages. I’m interested in practicing C programming, and I also want to create a code portfolio. Would it be a good idea to add programs that I’ve written for class assignments as a part of my portfolio?

I want to buy a book on either flash actionscript programming and/or microsoft c++ programming. Any suggestions for either will be greatly appreciated.
