I’m currently working on the general education requirements for my AS in Programming & was wondering is it transferable to a BS in Computer Science at a four year university? I’m thinking about transferring to FSU. Also who would they most likely consider: A person with a A.S Degree or A.A Degree & why?
Forgot to add the my CC doesn’t offer A.A for Programming, just Engineering. In a way are they the same?

For instance the compiler and debugger. I am a computer science major in college. I haven’t started my classes yet and I’m looking for a laptop. Does programming use a lot of memory and processing speed?

I’ve started learning visual basic to get a head start at the basics of programming. I’m a computer science major, but I don’t start my computer classes until the fall. I will be learning java, C++, and multiple other programming languages after that I’m sure, but how useful is learning Visual Basic? Will I actually ever use it in my programming career after college?

I’m going to be a computer science major this fall, and I plan on specializing in artificial intelligence. I have a limited understanding of programming right now (I’m fluent with GML but GML skips the basics and goes straight to the fine details of game development).
I want to have a decent understanding of programming before I start school, just to be well prepared. What language should I learn? (keeping in mind that I’m teaching myself and don’t have any money to spare on guides or manuals or anything)

I want to be prepared for my job that starts in 6 months. I’m looking for advice on certifications I should get or just general ways that I can start expanding my knowledge so I can be successful.

My job is as a IT consultant. My major is computer science and engineering and most of my work will revolve around programming and consulting.

I know the obvious things like read magazines and books, but are there any good magazines out there that I should be subscribed to?

Or maybe websites I should check out?

I’m in school for business administration and Computer science . I’m debating on whether taking programming, software development, or maybe language classes like C++. Any books, or maybe just jumping in and playing around. I want to learn objective c/ cocoa for iPhone/iPad development.

I would like to work with artificial intelligence later in my life. I’ll start computer science next year at a university and I would like to learn some basics during these months that I have.

What should I learn? I’m 20 years old and I’ve been around computers since I was a kid and I’m more than just an average user, however my programming knowledge is none.

Hi, im in grade 10 going to grade 11, and im good in computers with porgrams and good with fixing them hooking them up and cleaning spyware and playing with wires and stuff and making viruses what do you think i should and would be good in computer science or programming and what is the difference between them
