How do I copy my C drive to a logical partition on a new drive and have the OS boot from this?
I installed a new 200 GB drive. My old drive (C drive) on which the OS is installed is low on disk space and I’ve tried everything I can to remove unnecessary files and programs (including changing where Documents and Settings are stored). I’d like to avoid reinstalling XP. Is it possible to copy the C drive onto a partition on the new drive and then have the machine boot from this instead?
My computer is sending windows update files to my external drive instead of my C: drive. How do i change this?
When I download stuff from windows update, or anything else that doesn’t ask where I want to put the file(s). It’s defaulting to my external drive, G, instead of my internal drive, C. This began happening after a reformat and is causing problems with another program trying to access the C Runtime Library. Please be specific and state source(s), if any.
How do i freeze my important Drive C files and protect it from being changed without my approval?

It will freeze the WINDOWS files located in the Drive C. so that if a virus was to replace those files – it wouldn’t work.
I know that there is such software, but i do not know the name of it.

How do i find pictures i moved into c: drive to hide certain pictures?
PLEASE HELP!!!! I moved certain pictures i didn’t want my kids to see when they wanted to use my laptop. I copied and pasted the pictures somewhere on my hard drive C: I tried the search option with the file name and win media came up and gave me a pop up saying that the pic can’t be opened because it has been deleted or in a location that is not available. Well i know they haven’t been deleted. Any suggestions?
