What version of linux should I install on my flash drive?
I have an old 1gigabite flash drive and I’m wanting to use it to run linux off of. It has plenty of memory on it still and I would like to use it as kind of a portable computer that I can use on different desktops and maybe laptops. I went to download it and found that there are many versions, which one should I use?
Help with writing a script to copy data?
Hi, I am backing up important data every night. Currently, I am just going to the folder I need, copying it and then pasting it onto my flash drive. Is there any way I can write some sort of a script or something and have it on my desktop? Where I just insert my flash drive, double click the script, and it will automatically copy the folder i need onto my flash drive? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I need a portable webserver that can be run on both windows and linux. Any suggestions? Preferably open-source?
I need it to run on a Flash drive. It needs to be small because I’m hoping to use it as a portable photo gallery. It needs to be cross-platform so it can run both on Windows for my family and GNU/Linux (Ubuntu) for me. I hope that it can be Open Source software (GPL), but freeware is ok too.
