I know that GNU/linux is the best operating system there is and i want to install it in my computer, but i heard it is hard to use, so if you know any guide or course i could take to understand and use linux correctly, that would really help, please answer

Hi Everyone: I understand that GNU looks for the use of free software. My question is.. It is easy to incorporate those software on the company network? It is totally free? What exactly do they mean when mentioning GNU?Linux?

I have my hard drive partitioned into two partitions. One has XP installed and the other has GNU Linux (Debian) installed. I used to be able to choose which operating system to load when i turned the computer on using GRUB boot manager which came packaged with Debian. The problem is that I had to reformat the XP partition and so now I can no longer choose a partition to load but it automatically goes into windows. How can I get back onto Linux when i want to.

I want to return the copy of Windows Vista that I received with my laptop. I haven’t used it all and I have *refused* to accept the license. The laptop now runs GNU/Linux.

Who has had success returning Windows Vista or Windows XP for a refund? I found a few stories about people who got refunds of or . Are there any more stories like that?

I was watching revolution OS and Richard Stallman insisted that Linux should be called GNU/Linux because it’s the combination of Linux and GNU. How true is it?

I need it to run on a Flash drive. It needs to be small because I’m hoping to use it as a portable photo gallery. It needs to be cross-platform so it can run both on Windows for my family and GNU/Linux (Ubuntu) for me. I hope that it can be Open Source software (GPL), but freeware is ok too.

I use Ubuntu because its easy of use and large software repositories

i know it has something to do with it, i just cant wrap my head around it, so can anyone give me a clear explanation.
