What is the cost of free-lancer developer in India in technologies like dot net,share point and php?
I am trying to do some free-lancing and in conversion with few opportunities. Now I need to provide an estimation. So wanted to know what is the standard rate for developers in India. I need to submit proposals in different technologies – ASP.Net, Share Point and PHP. Kindly advice.
Can i get a programming job with few programming classes i took at community college?
I took courses in Fortran & pascal about 10 years ago & got C on each.
I took beginning course in C++ this year & got a B.
What kind of programming job can i get in southern california?
I don’t mind making minimum wage. I’m planning to work & study at same time to further my programming career.

If i hire a programmer to make a custom program will i own it?
I know under patent law if the person is an employee of mine then i will own the intellectual property but I’m concerned that since I’m just hiring a freelancer this claim will be harder to fill. Also if I cut costs and hire the freelance programmer in India will that make ownership of the intellectual property less likely?
is it possible to buy an HP laptop without an OS?
I am planning to get myself a laptop within the next one month. Is it possible to buy a HP Pavilion series notebook without an OS (in India)? If not HP, which other company offers notebooks without OSes? I really hate Vista and wish to use Linux. Thanks in advance.
