What type of jobs will I be able to get with a Java Programming Certificate?
I’m currently working in retail to support myself (apartment & school studying Game Design), but I would like to receive better income with an actual career. My university (University of San Diego) is offering online courses in Java Programming, and I would be awarded a certificate upon completion.
I’m just wondering what type of jobs will I be able to get with this cert? I would be willing to get this cert if it means having a better job to support myself during school.

Heres the whole story. I studied music in college and just got a job composing music for video games. It would help if I knew a little coding because I’ll also be doing sound design and sound effects and will be responsible for the implementation. I was told it would help to know a little c++ but everything on c++ assumes you know something already and I don’t. They have told me they will train me on the implementation but I want to learn a bit first. I’ve got months before I start the job.
