I want to be able to create whatever kind of program or files. Can someone please explain what you have to do for free software programming, what it has to do with all of the languages, what I have to download, how to create the correct files ect. Please go through EVERYTHING on what to download, what to do, pretty much everything.

Now I know you probably get a lot of different questions about how to start a programming career, but ever since I was 13 I thought I wanted to become some kind of programmer. And I thought I would start in college by taking courses. But I want to start now, I downloaded an E book on C# and for the most part its making sense. But I want to know what languages, projects, and other possible things I can learn to do that will get me a head start to a career in programming. Thanks!

I’ve found hundreds of programming tutorials that teach me how to write languages like java. But i’ve never found anything that teaches me parts of programming. For example what are variables and how they realate to other things in the script and start. I they do. I hope this makes sense. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I took C programming in college and I want to try my hand at it again. Is there any software that will run a C program or programs in other languages? Also, is there any language that has become very popular since the early 1990s that would be even better to learn than C?

What programming language should I learn if I want to program windows applications, and what are the best resources for doing so? Where do I start? How long should I expect it to take until I am good at it? Thanks.
also, what are the advantages of say java over c# or visa versa? is there any significant difference? Can some languages code things that others cant? or are they just done differently?

By the way I know very little about programming and would like to start learning how to do it. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance for your answers.
I forgot to mention that C++ or Python languages would be my preference on languages.

When I was nine years old I started creating websites for people in good ol’ HTML. I stopped after a couple years (probably around 2003) and didn’t really do any more programming. Well fast forward to 2010 I have noticed that other languages are out there like PHP that I recall wasn’t too big at the time. Can somebody recommend me software/videos/books on learning this new code? Thank you.
