Is it just a joke, or is it actually used in certain places? I also saw brain**** which is also pretty retarded. Do these programming languages have any purpose lol? I don’t think they’d care if you went into an interview and said you were proficient in those two languages xD. Anyway, just curious about programmers out there. Do you just use that as a joke, or what?
I did read that they were just jokes and such, but I didn’t know if anyone LEGITIMATELY learned and used this….

open source > allows programmers to make changes in operating system code.
A) server running the Linux operating system
B) handheld computer/smartphone/PDA running Palm OS
C) personal computer running the windows operating system

I began programming but it’s really hard at first because i always run into minor problems i don’t know how to solve. Little things that can be obvious to experienced programmers. I’ll put in the time but i just need help when i get stuck because i get stuck often.

Free, open source software is very practical for the user: Just download, install and enjoy! But all the programmers need to pay their rent, their food and social insurance … How do they typically earn their money? (Answers from actual programmers would be appreciated!)

OK I’ve looked up some things, and have a complier, but i cant find any good tutorials. nowhere actually explains anything. they just keep rambling about variables and integers, without explaining what they actually do. maybe these sites are meant for experienced programmers, i don’t know.

but what I’m asking is were should i start, to find a noob friendly tutorial, or site, so I can work my way up to advanced C++ for Game design.
I’m not even sure i have the right complier, its called codeblocks, should i even be worrying about that right now?
again, i know nothing about C++! so something explaining a whole code telling me it runs a variable is useless if i don’t know what a variable in C++ is

I really want to know how I can save on programmers, I have a decent knowledge in coding but i cant do it myself. Thats why i believe there should be some open source software like Pligg to help me develop a site where people can ask there questions, and answer them of course. Any clue will be appreciated. Thank you in advance !!!

To become a gaming programmer, is it better to have a BS in Computer Science and a gaming track, or to have a BS degree in Gaming Stimulation ?

Also, salary-wise, who makes more money, the programmers or the artists?

I would like to know the answer for both of these. Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have heard so far programmers are more technical, using programming languages where as designers are more visual, with the models and maps. I am leaning toward programming because I am not that artistic or visually creative, unless that is not needed. I would specifically want to know what degrees are required.
