Out of the park baseball 11 is the game. If you wanted to code a similiar sports game from scratch how long do you guys think it would take to code ootp 11 assuming you code 4 hours a day?

I’ve been using CS4 and just seem to battling against it instead of it working for me. Is there something better? Must be code based, not WYSIWYG. Also, I’ve been using Prototype, but not enough to regret leaving if I have to. I need to learn to code scratch before I use a framework too much.

I know next to nothing about programming or web design.

My question is, if I wanted to create a respectable looking website from scratch, not using a CMS or frontpage or anything like that..How long would it take me to acquire the neccessary skills to do so?

And what would I have to learn?

I would appreciate any info, I want to know whether its worth it to invest time/money into doing so.

I have to clear everything off a computer, including the OS. How do I go about wiping the HD, and starting over from scratch?
I mean, all the way down to the core, where just the MOBO is running the show.

I’m not completely new to programming, but I’ve been finding it difficult to choose 1 program to stick with. Here’s what I’m looking for:

Something relatively easy.

Something I can make GUIs in.

Something I can program hardware in (PIC/ Picaxe).

Something I can make simulations in.

Something versatile that I can use in a wide variety of things.

Please, no C#, Alice, Scratch, or Greenfoot.

I understand that this is a broad range, so multiple answers are ok.

Hi, I want to try video game programming, I’ve never done it before unless you include the program scratch, but that doesn’t really count. This will most likely start out as a hobby and I’ll see how much I enjoy it and go from there. So ya, I want to know what programming language would be best for me, thanks!
