I am interested in something that is a kind of communal repository for code, where anyone can add code they have written or improve code that is already written on the site. Specifically I am looking to work with artificial intelligence and simulation code. And also video games. I’m ideally looking for something that uses profiles and wikis and also something that may have guided to tutorials and lesson plans.

I want to learn how to create simple (very simple) video games. What programming language should I use, and how/where can I learn it? I’m starting from scratch, so how long will it take me to start cranking some things out? Or is it such a huge undertaking that I shouldn’t even waste my time trying?

One of my little ‘dreams’ is to create an online organisation that is dedicated to making video games that are open source and free. I realise that I need a website and do some advertising and such, but how would you suggest starting something like this using little to no money.

Since small days, I’ve been obsessed with video games and would love to make it my career as well. Can someone tell me the required skills and education needed to become a video games designer or programmer? And a mention about the paycheck would be helpful as well.

Id like to learn programming and I want to program games..
The BIG problem is that 1.I don’t know how to program stuff.
2.I don’t know what program to use to start programming

note:I’m 13yrs old so I might have trouble programming.
