A young child (13) wants to write s simple program to present color blocks, ask for the users preferences and tabulate those answers based on the user demographics – what programming language for a Windows OS makes the most sense?

So, I’m primarily a windows OS user, until i get mac OS X on my PC. Neways, I want to know which version of Linux is good for a beginner? let me know and please if you could include a link where I can download it.

My windows OS failed. So I removed my internal HD and plugged it to another computer but I can’t locate my data files like word excel documents and pictures. How can I recover them?
