What is the best program for writing a script?

I am trying to write a script and Microsoft word is really annoying. What is a good program for script writing? Please, I want something that is free and that I can download online. I have Windows XP! Ok…Thanks

    go to celtx.com

download the program, and viola! It’s such a great screenwriting program, and not to mention, it’s completely free! on their homepage, there are tutorials on how to use it and also there is a "project central" area where people post their scripts they’ve written and you can read and comment on them. :)

Notepad will do just fine. I do all of my scripting and programming under Linux and like Emacs. You should be able to run it under Windows as well. See http://www.claremontmckenna.edu/math/ALee/emacs/emacs.html for info on installing it.
