What is the best website where I can learn C# programming for free?

I would like to learn C# programming to improve my technical/computer skills. What is the best website out on the internet where I can learn C# for free? I know that I’ll probably be using Visual Studio 2008, but I was wondering what website has the best step-by-step tutorials for beginners (and for free). I would prefer a site that has lots of pictures and maybe even video tutorials. Thanks!

There’s free E-Books you can download as well, such as " C# for Dummies."

What I really recommend is the C# for Dummies book , C# 3.0 The Complete Reference, as well websites like Csharp-Station.com and you can use Google.

Hold on… There’s a zillion sites on the internet with information on C#. Why not go to the most popular source- Microsoft.

The first link below is for the Microsoft C# Developer’s Center, where you will find a rich array of resources for learning C#

Best of all, Microsoft offers a free download of the fully functional Visual C# 2008 Express compiler. This is not a trial or a demo but a full product with a few minor bells and whistles missing from their costly full Visual Studio product. See the second link for a direct download.

There are so many resources available on C# from Microsoft that you will have gray hair before you can possibly read them all.

    BTW – I’m doing you a big favor… I’m a Visual Basic guy ;-)
